Mobie Oy and cross-country skier Arttu Heikkinen have agreed on a sponsorship cooperation based on a common core idea: continuous learning and continuous development. The cooperation supports the core theme of Mobie’s CompetenceX service and reflects the everyday life and philosophy of Heikkinen as an athlete.
Continuous learning links business and top sport
At Mobie Oy, continuous learning and development are seen as core values, and the same principle is strongly present in Arttu Heikkinen’s sports career.
Arttu describes:
“Mobie Ltd and elite sport have a lot in common. The company’s values and themes also apply well to the everyday life of a cross-country skier: it’s not about quick wins, it’s about continuous development, teamwork and personal development as an athlete. Every day is important: you learn something new about your body, how it works and how to polish different aspects to the last detail. There are a lot of similarities.”
Developing as an athlete requires constant training on a physical, technical and mental level. Success in competitions requires the ability to analyse your own performance and to fine-tune the details day by day.
Arttu continues on the importance of teamwork:
“We are constantly trying to improve. Even if something we’ve learned in the past has worked, sometimes you have to try something new to keep up. The sport is constantly evolving, the athletes are evolving and the equipment is evolving. The same old approach may not be enough for many years in a row. It’s important to constantly reflect and think about how we can move things forward as a team in the best possible way.”
Jukka Sormunen, RDI Director at Mobie Oy, is delighted with the cooperation and sees a strong link to Mobie’s values:
“Continuous learning and development are at the heart of everything Mobie does – and the same is true of Artu’s work as an athlete. CompetenceX helps organisations to make their competences visible and to develop systematically. Arttu, in turn, represents the same principles in practice: goal-oriented training, analysis, the courage to try new ways and the desire to be a little better every day.
We are proud to support his career and at the same time show how the same principles unite business and top sport.”
