The Education Leadership Summit brought together an exceptionally diverse group of actors from across Finland’s education and learning ecosystem. Over two intensive days, representatives from dozens of organizations gathered, including education and edtech companies, higher education institutions, vocational education providers, investors, development organizations, NGOs, and public-sector experts and funding bodies.
What united the participants was a shared realization: Finnish education expertise enjoys a strong global reputation and clear international demand, yet its full potential for impact and sustainable business has not yet been realized.
There was a broad consensus that the current situation will not change without a new, bolder way of organizing and working together. To increase impact, we must move beyond fragmented efforts and begin building shared structures and solution-oriented collaboration that responds to the expectations of global partners.
The focus is now shifting from discussion to action. The next step is to define a concrete pathway forward: what we will build together, who will take responsibility, and the first practical actions. After a two-day Educraftor workshop, a dedicated working group has been appointed to advance this work.
During the spring, we will communicate openly about progress and about how international education cooperation will be developed in a more coordinated and impactful way.
This is not a short-term project – it is a strategic direction shaping the future of Finnish education collaboration.
